Access to your NHS GP Record

Our main priority is to offer you holistic safe care. You can help your private GP learn more about you by accessing your record via Airmid account or SystmOne online. You may be able to access this without contacting your GP or you might need to contact your practice. You have the right to access this information. In the very near future private GP’s should have access to your Summary Care Record with your consent - and likely your medical record. Patient Knows Best is being used by Harrogate Hospital to supply your hospital letters in the future and is useful for HPGP to have access to.

Most practices will be happy to offer you a ‘Patient Summary’ which will include a lot of the information we need. We are happy to assist you in getting this by contacting your practice - but need your written consent. This may take a few days, so if we don’t have this when we see you - a repeat script from a recent prescription would be helpful and/or a recent hospital discharge summary if you have one available.
